Gurmeet Likhari (born in 1968) is an Indian-American engineer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist known for his pioneering work in the global telecom industry and his long-standing commitment to social impact.
Likhari began his career in 1991 with Punjab Communications, where he worked in the Research & Development division, contributing to the design of high-bandwidth two-way radios. In 1994, he joined Essar Cellphone, where he played a critical role in deploying India’s first cellular network, managing the initial rollout of 318 cell sites across Delhi, and leading further network deployments in northern India.
In 1997, Likhari moved to the United States to head the services division of Mobile Systems International. Building upon his extensive international experience, he founded MobileComm Professionals, Inc. in 2002. Under his leadership, MobileComm expanded into multiple regions and became a key telecom services partner for leading global brands such as Nokia, Ericsson, Airtel, and T-Mobile.
